Senior Boys and Girls Soccer Zones Information

A/AA/AAA Senior Boys and Girls Soccer Zone Tournament

1. All teams welcome from NCDSAA

2. Berths – 1 berth to Provincials for A/AA/AAA

3. Ranking determined by – Most recent head to head matches

- Most recent tournament play

- Most recent Provincial ranking

- Zone Coaches’ discussion

- Zone Representative decision

4. Tournament Format - depends on the number of teams

- Played on a SUNDAY, MONDAY, and/or TUESDAY (if necessary)

- 35 minute halves

- 40 minute halves for the Gold medal game only

- In Round Robin = straight to Penalty Kicks

- In Gold & Bronze medal games = two 7 ½ minute overtimes and then to Penalty Kicks

- Draw = Use draws found under the Zone Draw section of the website

5. Awards : NCDSAA medals for 1st,2nd,3rd Place Teams

6. Optional : Flat of water for teams

7. Discipline: Players sent off for receiving a direct red card or two yellow cards in the same

game must also sit the following game

If a player receives a yellow card in 3 separate games they will sit the following game

8. Coaches’ meeting : Discuss the following years zone host and current issues. Zone hosts will be chosen at the NCDSAA Spring AGM with input considered from the coaches meeting.
